The Tabs:
There are five tabs above your pictures. You will move between these tabbed sections as you build your photo book. To open each tab simply click on its title. Move the blue scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to show all of the available options in each tabbed section. To do this left click your mouse button and hold your mouse on the blue scroll bar and slide your mouse in the direction you wish to move.
Book Pictures
From this section you can select your pictures from the Image Browser at the bottom of the screen.

To place a picture in your book, select a page layout (see Page Layouts below for more information), left click your mouse on your picture, hold the button, and drag the picture up to the frame, release the button. You may use any picture more than once in your photo book.

Page Layouts
From this section you can select pre-set page layout arrangements.

Left click your mouse on the page layout you want to use. A light blue box will highlight your layout arrangement. Left click your mouse button in the highlighted layout, hold the button, and drag the layout up to the page. Release the button.You are now ready to place your photos (see Book Pictures above for more information). Repeat for each page.

Some page layouts have pre-set caption boxes. To delete a pre-set caption box left click your mouse on the words type caption here. A green box will appear. Press the delete key on your keyboard.

To add a caption box right click your mouse. A menu box will appear. Select insert. A new menu box appears. Select new caption. The caption box will appear in the middle of your page.

To move your caption, left click your mouse in your text box, hold the button and drag it to your desired location. Release the button.
There is a ‘rotate’ icon (two arrows forming a circle) in the center of the caption box. This will allow you to turn your caption if you like. Left click your mouse, hold the button and turn the caption box. Release the button.
To undo any turns, go to the tool bar at the top of the page, select ‘edit’, and choose ‘undo rotate.’

Page Backgrounds
In this section you can see all of the backgrounds available.

Once your pictures are in place, you may wish to add a background. Choose one of the backgrounds in the program. You can add backgrounds at any point in the book building process. Left click your mouse on your chosen background. Hold the button. Drag the background to the photo book page. A dialog box will appear, would you like your background to be used for a single page, or across a two-page spread? Make your selection. Release the button. Repeat for each page.

You can also choose one of your pictures for your background. Follow the same steps as choosing a page background.
Picture Borders
In this section you can see all of the framing options available for your pictures.

Left click your mouse on the picture border you want to use. A light blue box will highlight your border option. With your mouse arrow in the highlighted border, left click your mouse, hold the button, drag the border up to the picture, release the button. Repeat for each photo.

Book Templates
From this section you can choose a pre-formatted themed photo book layout.

There are five pre-formatted themes from which to choose. Page layouts, backgrounds and caption areas are all preset. You can edit any feature on any page if you like.
