Freeze Frame Publishing to display products at PMA2010!

Thank you.  We are so excited to have the opportunity of sharing some of our best printed samples of your custom created products at PMA2010 (Photo Marketers Association International) in Anaheim, California later this month.  We will be sharing space with Xerox in their booth at this annual event.  We will be talking about Freeze Frame Publishing, our printing and finishing processes, and our print provider, Color House Graphics.

Here are samples of the samples we submitted:

Andrea Booker, photographer and proprietor of Single Moments Photography, contributed these samples.

People from the West Michigan area will recognize this local iconic sign.  This card was created by local photographer, Jim Hegerty.

Local graphic designer, Sue Christafferson, created these products.

Nice Nines proprietor and rally driver, Matt Johnston, created these posters with our software.

Two high school students also submitted great products.  Devin Hendrick, a senior at Northview High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan created the samples above. Devin's portfolio won an award from Kendall College of Art and Design and her works are currently in competition for the "Governor's Traveling Art Show." Best wishes, Devin.

Robby Harwood, also a senior at Northview High School, contributed these products.

We also sent calendars, photo books, and scrap book pages. Thank you to all the artists, designers and photographers who allowed us to send their projects as our samples. You certainly make us look good!  We will be adding blog posts and updating our facebook page from PMA2010. Please check back!

First Local First Photo Book Event!

Last night Freeze Frame Publishing had the pleasure of hosting February's Local First Networking event. Color House Graphics, our digital print partner, opened their print shop for members to meet, network, and participate in this interactive event.

Local First member and professional photographer, Russell Climie, from Tiberius Images taught members 10 tips for taking better pictures. The number one tip: take a lot of pictures! Digital cameras make it easy to take lots of pictures. The more pictures you take, the more likely you are to capture a moment beautifully. And don't worry about all of the pictures you delete.

Russ took several pictures of members as they entered the event. You can view a full line up of pictures taken Thursday evening as well as read his blog post of the event. Thanks, Russ and Rebecca for making the event so memorable!

Our own Jennifer, from Freeze Frame Publishing showed members just how fast, fun, and flexible our software is to use. You can download your own copy of our software, or request a disc and we'll drop a program CD in the mail to you.

Ken and Phil were on hand to guide tours of Color House Graphics off-set and digital printing areas. Much has changed and continues to change in the printing industry. Members enjoyed seeing how books are manufactured.

Overall, our First Local First Photo Book Event went very well. Thanks, Elissa for the opportunity to showcase our company. We look forward to hosting another event in the future. We were able to create, print, and hand out photo books of the event. To see the book created last night, click here.

We invite you to visit our web site for more information on how Freeze Frame Publishing can help you freeze time... and frame your networking event memories forever.

We welcome your comments and suggestions.

Dam to Dam Ice Fishing Fundraiser February 14!

It's time once again for the 3rd Annual Dam-to-Dam Ice Fishing contest at Croton and Hardy Dams. This annual event raises funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Newaygo County. Saturday, February 14 is the date of this year's event.

Last year's event raised $12,000!

Registration has already begun at several spots in the area. Adults can register for $5.00 (Children 13 and under $2.00) at Croton Bay Trading Post, Hilltop Shopping Center, Driftwood Bar and Grill and the American Legion. Each registration comes with a raffle ticket for some great prizes. Raffle tickets are also available for purchase. This is Free Fishing Weekend so fishing licenses aren't necessary.

Fish all day but be in line for the weigh-in at the American Legion on Croton-Hardy Drive by 3:30 p.m. Awards will be given for the biggest fish in several categories; see someone at the American Legion for more details.

Leinenkugel's will have a tent on the ice. Stop by for food and fun games including Most Outrageous Hat contest and Tip Up Squares. Hot chocolate, hot coffee, hot dogs and much more will be avialable to make your stay on the ice a little nicer.

Stop by our table with your fish for a photo op! We will again make commemorative photo books for the major sponsors of this year's event. You can order your own copy of the book, too... or download our software and create a 2009 Dam-to-Dam Ice Fishing Contest book of your own!
Click here for a peek at last year's event.

Come early. Stay late. Dress warm. Have fun as we raise money for a good cause. See you on the ice!
