Joy of Photo Stories: blog post by Jen Mitchell

Jen Mitchell, a busy mother of four juggling home, family and career, took time to review our software recently. She wrote about her memories of a blue vinyl photo album, of family stories told again and again. "[Photos]... are keepers of stories, of history, my family's history."

"With digital photos being on the computer the whole part of sharing their story is lost. Sure my digital pictures all tell the story of the events that they captured but who gets to hear that story when they are all nicely organized and categorized on the computer? I have not prints to handle, no books to look through," she adds.

We are happy to report that Jen loved our software!   "I went to their site, downloaded the Free software and in one nap time, I had made a book of photos. A tangible book that my children can hold and we can look at together."

Man Camp: Photo Books for the Men in Your Life!

The end of July marks an annual ritual for the men in my family:  FISHING!  Every year for the past 20+ years the Postema males head to parts north: a full day's drive to get to the lodge for 'check-in,' then a 2 hour boat ride to the secluded cabin on Windermere Lake. Lots of pictures are taken, proof of just how big the biggest catch of the season was... and just who caught the biggest catch.

Stories of Fish Camp Past are shared, shore lunches eaten, naps taken--new memories made.

Ken's Bird Book!

We're getting a lot of mileage out of our spring boarders! We used the "choir" shot (below) on our June calendar page; I've printed posters of the little guys, too. And now... Ken built a photo book that tells the story of the two pine trees and the birds who lived there.


We've posted a link to the bird book on our home page, but you can access Ken's book here. The share online feature of our software is an added option that allows you to share your newly created photo books with friends and family. See our prior blog post for details in using this feature.

Ken selected the "lay flat" book option found in the drop down menu of the photo book software. He also created an identical book in the 12x12 format. He printed that in lay flat to see how the finished product would look. It looks FABULOUS! Watch for information on the availability of 12x12 lay flat books that you create. Pictures and a thorough description of our lay flat photo books will appear in an upcoming blog post.
